Programs at Hill Country
Detox at the Hill Country campus is medically supervised, with nursing care around the clock from specialists in addiction treatment. Your detox plan is tailored to you, with medication management for alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, and other substances. A physician or nurse practitioner sees you daily, and counseling starts as soon as you are physically ready.

Days follow a set rhythm of individual counseling, group therapy, family workshops, educational classes, and 12-Step meetings, balanced with recreation, yoga, and meditation in the Hill Country setting. The Positive Recovery curriculum runs through all of it, and gender-specific treatment programs are available.

For Families
Family participation is essential for lasting recovery. At Hill Country, family members are encouraged to attend weekly family therapy sessions and workshops. These sessions help your entire family understand addiction, improve communication, set healthy boundaries, and heal together.
Family Workshops at Hill Country include group therapy, educational lectures, experiential therapy, and yoga/meditation. They are held every three weeks and are open to spouses, parents, siblings, and other supportive family members or friends who are like family.
Common Questions
Pack about a week of comfortable, casual clothing that suits the Hill Country setting, plus personal hygiene items, any prescribed medications in their original containers, a valid ID, and your insurance card. Leave valuables, electronic devices, large amounts of cash, and any substances at home. When you schedule your intake, our admissions team will send a detailed packing list.
The length of residential treatment varies based on individual needs. Most clients spend 2-4 weeks in residential care after completing detox (4-6 days). For self-paying clients, we also offer a 120-day extended treatment program at our Hill Country campus for a flat $35,000. Your treatment team will recommend the appropriate length of stay based on your progress, and the price remains the same.
Yes. Family involvement is something we ask for, not just allow. Family therapy sessions happen weekly, and Family Workshops are offered every three weeks. Visitation specifics for the Hill Country campus are covered during your admission. When families participate, treatment outcomes improve significantly.
Your treatment team will recommend a step-down plan including PHP and IOP. Our outpatient offices in Austin, San Marcos, Round Rock, and College Station provide convenient access for continued care in Central Texas.
