About This Program
Aftercare is the lifelong continuation of treatment that protects what you built in residential, PHP, or IOP.
After you complete a primary treatment program, the work of staying sober shifts. The structure of daily sessions is gone, life comes back fast, and the people around you may not understand what you just went through. Aftercare bridges that gap. It is a weekly point of contact with the team that knows your story, a community of peers walking the same path, and a safety net the moment something feels off.
Aftercare at Positive Recovery Centers is built around weekly group meetings led by licensed counselors, hosted in a safe, comfortable clinical environment, and open to PRC graduates. Alumni events run throughout the year, individual check-ins are available when you need one, and there is no graduation off this program. You keep access for life, and you are always welcome back whenever you need it.
Program Goals
Structured support past the end of primary treatment. A weekly anchor that keeps recovery skills sharp, holds you accountable, and catches early warning signs before they become a relapse.
An alumni community and peer network for the long haul. The friendships you built in treatment continue, and you meet people years deeper into recovery who can show you what is possible.
A direct path back to higher levels of care if you stumble. You won't have to start over with a stranger. Your team already knows you, and a call gets you back into IOP, PHP, or detox the same day if that is what you need.

Paying for Aftercare
Most major insurance plans cover continuing-care groups at parity with IOP. Verify your coverage in under 60 seconds and find out exactly what your aftercare benefits include.
One full year of aftercare is included with our 120-day extended programs. For everyone else, cost depends on your program and insurance; our admissions team will tell you exactly what to expect before your first meeting.
