About This Program
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a day-treatment program that delivers the structure and intensity of residential care without the overnight stay.
PHP is the highest level of outpatient care available. Clients attend programming during the day, then return home, to a sober living house, or to another safe environment at night. The schedule is built to mirror a full clinical day so progress doesn't stall between sessions.
At Positive Recovery Centers, PHP clients typically attend 5-6 days per week for 20-30 hours of programming. All PHP clients meet weekly with our physician, and length of stay is tailored to your progress. PHP is the ideal step-down from residential treatment and a strong starting point for anyone whose acuity is too high for standard outpatient but who does not need 24/7 supervision.
Program Goals
Settle into a structured recovery routine without leaving home. PHP creates a full clinical day so early sobriety doesn't have to be managed alone, and so progress made in detox or residential isn't lost in the gap.
Daily group therapy, individual counseling, and family work build the coping skills, relapse-prevention tools, and communication patterns that recovery rests on long-term.
PHP is engineered as a step-down. Once stability is built, clients transition to our Intensive Outpatient Program with the same care team, same curriculum, and a clear plan.
