We realize getting out of our routine from time to time and creating new. light-hearted experience can bring inspiration and focus. We foster an environment where ideas are shared openly and tested regularly. We encourage thinking outside of the box.
Learn, Grow and Refine Ourselves Daily
We Support personal growth, remembering that life is a journey with endless opportunities. We embrace the responsibility to drive change in ourselves, practicing what we learn, and refining our skills with every interaction. This desire for learning and growth continually inspires us.
Generating Compassion and Trust
Compassion involves being moved by others and motivated to help! Qualities of compassion are: patience, wisdom, kindness, perseverance, warmth and resolve. These qualities help us see beyond our personal views and honor the feelings and opinions of others. We practice understanding and focus on inclusivity, valuing different perspectives and ideas.
Direct Authentic Communication
We encourage strong relationships based on excellent communication. This foundation is necessary in building and maintaining healthy interpersonal connections. We strive to establish an environment that allows for open, authentic and direct communication. We view authenticity as acceptance of ourselves and others, thoughtful self-expression, willingness to learn from our mistakes, and seeking to recognize the strengths in others.
Nurture An Environment of Community and Connection
We are grateful to be a part of a team that strives to make a difference in our community and strengthens the bonds with our coworkers. We establish a culture where we can feel free to ask for and offer help to each other. We are conscious of each person’s value and we genuinely care about everyone’s well-being. Our team is diverse and because of our collaboration; we bring joy, unity and wholeness every day. We are interested in the “why” that drives each of us.
George Joseph - Our Founder
With over 30 years’ experience in the addiction treatment industry, I have seen that the people most in need of treatment are often the ones that have the fewest options. Proper addiction treatment and rehabilitation should be available to everyone. Positive Recovery Centers believes a healthy life, free of substance abuse should be available to anyone who is willing to claim it. Everyone deserves an opportunity to be supported in their recovery. Our goal is to offer a program that truly makes a difference, not just in the here and now, but in the future. In addition to our comprehensive substance abuse curriculum, we also include financial management counseling and advancing real life skills to truly help our clients thrive in recovery and lead better lives… Positive Recovery Centers creates positive change for our clients, their families and our community.
Julie Denofa - Our President
Julie is an original partner in the creation of Positive Recovery Centers, in collaboration with CEO and Founder George Joseph. Julie has accumulated twenty-seven years of professional experience in medical, clinical, operational, and financial management, and has excelled in creating a culture of success. Prior to joining Positive Recovery Centers, Julie served as the President for Sobriety Matters. She also served as the Regional Vice President for the Texas Region of Elements Behavioral Health, Inc., one of the nation’s largest providers of substance abuse treatment and behavioral health services. Julie began her career in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the early 1990s, as a Registered Nurse. She has worked for hospitals and managed care organizations, developing a clinical specialty in substance use disorders and psychiatry. Her extensive clinical background, coupled with her business acumen, has contributed to her ability to develop and implement efficacious, high quality programs across the country. Julie’s passion is to promote excellence in addiction treatment through staff development, education, advocacy, and collaboration with other treatment providers within her community. Creating a culture in which clients and employees flourish is an integral part of every organization she has led. Julie maintains her Certified Addiction Registered Nurse credential, and she is an active member of The International Nurses Society on Addictions. Her dedication is also illustrated by her volunteerism: she serves as the Texas State Chair for the Addiction Policy Forum; she is an advocate for the Texas Peer Assistance Program for Nurses (TPAPN); she is a community partner with Facing Addiction With The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence; and she is a board member with Recovery & Resilience Foundation. Many joys come from helping others, but Julie will tell you that her greatest joys in life, hands down, are her three children.
