About Positive Recovery Centers

Positive Recovery Centers offers a full scope of addiction treatment services that are designed to meet you where you are and get you where you want to be. We don’t claim to have the cure for addiction. Instead, we offer an evidence-based addiction curriculum that helps you engage with your recovery and pursue happiness the right way, without misusing drugs or alcohol.

Our staff is made up of authentic, experienced addiction treatment professionals who are passionate about connecting with you and helping you make a life-changing decision. Even if you’re not sure where to begin or what type of treatment you need, we’re happy to assist you. When you contact us, you are not obligated to enroll in treatment. All personal information you share with us is private and we encourage you to ask questions and get to know our facility and treatment process.

Core Values

Making Everything Matter

By making everything matter, we create an environment that recognizes the importance of how we impact those around us. We make everything matter with our integrity, compassion, empathy and a willingness to go above and beyond.

Encourage Creativity and Innovation

We realize getting out of our routine from time to time and creating new. light-hearted experience can bring inspiration and focus. We foster an environment where ideas are shared openly and tested regularly. We encourage thinking outside of the box.

Learn, Grow and Refine Ourselves Daily

We Support personal growth, remembering that life is a journey with endless opportunities. We embrace the responsibility to drive change in ourselves, practicing what we learn, and refining our skills with every interaction. This desire for learning and growth continually inspires us.

Generating Compassion and Trust

Compassion involves being moved by others and motivated to help! Qualities of compassion are: patience, wisdom, kindness, perseverance, warmth and resolve. These qualities help us see beyond our personal views and honor the feelings and opinions of others. We practice understanding and focus on inclusivity, valuing different perspectives and ideas.

Direct Authentic Communication

We encourage strong relationships based on excellent communication. This foundation is necessary in building and maintaining healthy interpersonal connections. We strive to establish an environment that allows for open, authentic and direct communication. We view authenticity as acceptance of ourselves and others, thoughtful self-expression, willingness to learn from our mistakes, and seeking to recognize the strengths in others.

Nurture An Environment of Community and Connection

We are grateful to be a part of a team that strives to make a difference in our community and strengthens the bonds with our coworkers. We establish a culture where we can feel free to ask for and offer help to each other. We are conscious of each person’s value and we genuinely care about everyone’s well-being. Our team is diverse and because of our collaboration; we bring joy, unity and wholeness every day. We are interested in the “why” that drives each of us.

George Joseph - Chief Executive Officer

With over 30 years experience in the addiction treatment industry he believes proper addiction treatment and rehabilitation should be available to everyone. George was CEO and owner of The Right Step for almost 20 years before selling the company in 2012. Once his non-compete was over he wanted to create a new facility to be able to help more people, thus Positive Recovery Centers was born in 2017. Using the latest curriculum developed by Dr. Jason Powers, MD our Chief Medical Officer, we are working to reduce relapse rates by focusing on each clients character strengths and improve resilience. By employing new strategies to achieve optimal wellness, we address the negative impacts of addiction. We offer a program that truly makes a difference, not just in the here and now, but in the future. Positive Recovery Centers creates positive change for our clients, their families and our community. George has received both state and national recognition as Counselor of Year in 2000. George’s passion and commitment to others is evident and as a result he was recently awarded as Most Admired CEO honoree by the Houston Business Journal.
