Position Description:
The Recovery Advocate is a member of the multidisciplinary team who is directly involved in providing quality care to our clients. This critical role is key not only to the operational flow of the facility but to making a difference in the lives of our clients. The RA is responsible for providing structure for our clients during programming, after hours, and during weekend activities.
Essential Functions:
- Documents client and group dynamic observations in medical records and communicates client issues and concerns to the nursing, clinical, and administrative staff.
- Serves as a role model to the clients, demonstrating an understanding of the fundamentals of a balanced recovery program.
- Coordinates client care and ensures that clients are in groups and aware of and in line with facility expectations.

Nurse Practitioner/Nurse Manager – Spicewood
The Nurse Practitioner Nurse Manager ensures excellence within the daily operations of the Positive Recovery Center’s Nursing Department by promoting quality of care to clients through assessment, medication management, and direct client oversight. This position will also coordinate and communicate with nursing and other medical and clinical staff regarding medical and psychiatric issues to ensure that appropriate assessments and services are provided.
Essential Functions:
- Consults with the treatment team regarding medical and psychiatric issues/concerns (including medication).
- Provides 24-hour coverage for consultation and emergencies.
- Completes documentation, including medical and psychiatric assessments and follow-up session progress notes.
- Reviews medical documentation (history and physicals, lab reports, consultations) as appropriate and provides orders for follow-up care.
- Works with Chief Medical Officer, Executive Director, Clinical Director, and President to develop and review standards of care and protocols.
- Supervises daily operations of all nursing functions and oversees quality patient care provided by the Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, and Recovery Advocates.
- Coordinates with leadership to establish protocols and develop best practices while advising on current nursing department activities, plans and developments through both oral and written reports.
- Coordinates and/or facilitates staff training and development to educate and maintain quality of care consistent with, or exceeding industry standards.

Position Description:

Essential Functions:
- Standardize and maintain processes that impact revenue cycle including identifying problems and or processes, as well as recommending and implementing corrective actions, solutions, and/or efficiencies.

Essential Functions:
- Standardize and maintain processes that impact revenue cycle including identifying problems and or processes, as well as recommending and implementing corrective actions, solutions, and/or efficiencies.
- Review and communicate general health insurance and eligibility/benefits clearance information to internal teams and clients.
- Plan and direct team to perform pre-verification of client insurance as necessary, time of service collections, and charge entry to ensure accurate client billing and efficient account collection.

- Assists the Utilization Review Specialist by assuring that clinical records contain comprehensive information needed to communicate with managed care companies for authorization of treatment.
- Attends monthly staff meetings, required training, and serves on various organizational teams and committees.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of the therapeutic techniques and program policies and procedures.
- Coordinates with Medical Director, President, and Executive Director to keep all informed of current departmental activities, plans, and developments through both oral and written reports.
- Functions as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in a manner that assists the team in achieving positive results.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- One (1) year of direct clinical care experience.
- Licensed LCDC, LPC, LCSW, or LCDC-I (level III).
- Desire to work with clients suffering from the disease of addiction.
- Prefer experience with a 12-step program.
- Proficient using general computer skills the ability to document case notes daily through electronic medical records programs.

Positive Recovery currently has 15 locations statewide and was recognized as one of the top places to work by the Houston Business Journal in 2021. We are presently seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate Recovery Advocate for our state licensed and Joint Commission certified treatment center.
Position Description:
The Recovery Advocate is a member of the multidisciplinary team who is directly involved in providing quality care to our clients. This critical role is key not only to the operational flow of the facility but to making a difference in the lives of our clients. The RA is responsible for providing structure for our clients during programming, after hours, and during weekend activities.

Essential Functions:
- Documents client and group dynamic observations in medical records and communicates client issues and concerns to the nursing, clinical, and administrative staff.
- Serves as a role model to the clients, demonstrating an understanding of the fundamentals of a balanced recovery program.
- Coordinates client care and ensures that clients are in groups and aware of and in line with facility expectations.
- Coordinates admissions and orientations with the nursing staff to ensure the safety of the client and the client environment.
- Assists in emergency situations as directed.
- Understands and maintains confidentiality of patient information and records.
- Recognizes crisis situations and provides appropriate interventions based on training and experience.
- Escorts clients for meals, off-site appointments, or other related client activities.
- Facilitates or co-facilitates CD Educational groups.
- Monitors and documents client self-administration of medication.
- Attends monthly meetings and scheduled training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Texas Driver License
- Experience with a 12-step program preferred.
- Proficient using general computer skills.
