Online Treatment Services: We understand that the treatment needs of our clients change daily. Positive Recovery Centers offer a broad range of treatment services both in-person and remote, utilizing a personalized and multidisciplinary approach to meet the needs of all clients in varying stages of recovery. To protect the health of all of our clients and staff Positive Recovery Centers is offering Online Treatment Services for outpatient clients across all of our locations effective immediately.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): Positive Recovery Center’s IOP is an addiction treatment program that is designed for clients who are ready to return to work, school, and other responsibilities or who do not require a higher level of care. IOP does not provide round-the-clock supervision but allows flexibility for clients to focus on their recovery while they transition back into their communities.

Jim Patterson

In 1990, Jim Patterson followed his passion to help others who were addicted to alcohol and drugs and became a Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADAC). He has continued to develop his devotion to his career as a Texas state Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). Jim has specialized in Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP), training and clinical program development. He utilizes various clinical approaches according to the individualized needs of each client and their families and specializes in shame reduction, values clarification and community integration. He is an advocate for motivational interviewing, CBT and other pro-active approaches. He was the IOP Director for Memorial Hermann before joining The Right Step, which transitioned to Positive Recovery Centers in March of 2019. He has been working in the Conroe area as an affiliate provider of IOP services since 2009 and is focused on serving the Conroe – Montgomery County community. He delivers messages of hope as a speaker at local churches, businesses and community organizations on subjects related to substance abuse. He believes that true recovery means far more than abstinence. His message is that recovery is a dynamic process that can result in lasting fulfillment, existential purpose and joy for the recovering addict and their family members.
