Real Recovery Where Real Houston Works

Humble was an oil boomtown a century ago, the place where the Humble Oil Company, later ExxonMobil, got started in 1911. Today it sits at the crossroads of the airport, the airline-and-logistics economy, and a string of master-planned communities, Atascocita, Kingwood, Eagle Springs, Fall Creek. It is working Houston, the kind of place where shifts run long and people do not advertise when things are hard.

Kingwood and Atascocita took severe damage in Hurricane Harvey. Many of our clients here carry the trauma of that flood, alongside everything else. Substance use in this community shows up in airline and TSA workers, baggage handlers, oilfield families, healthcare professionals at HCA Northeast, contractors and parents. The pressure looks different on every side of FM 1960, but it ends up in the same place.

Our office on FM 1960 Bypass East, just off the eastex freeway, is built for that. Confidential intake, day and evening IOP, and a clinical team that actually understands the way Northeast Houston lives.

Your Outpatient Manager

Meet Agatha Sacks, MS, LCDC

Agatha is a Master's-level clinician with 12 years of experience in addiction treatment. She holds an M.S. in Psychology from the University of Phoenix and a B.S. from Sam Houston State University, and is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in Texas as well as a certified Positive Recovery provider.

Before joining Positive Recovery, Agatha worked with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and Montgomery County Probation, where she saw firsthand how substance use disorder intersects with family systems, trauma, and the justice system. That perspective shapes the way her teams in Humble and Conroe approach care: clinically rigorous, but never moralizing.

"Addiction is a symptom of a greater issue, and with proper guidance and treatment, clients can learn to live sober lives."
