Kingwood and Atascocita took severe damage in Hurricane Harvey. Many of our clients here carry the trauma of that flood, alongside everything else. Agatha is a Master's-level clinician with 12 years of experience in addiction treatment. She holds an M.S. in Psychology from the University of Phoenix and a B.S. from Sam Houston State University, and is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in Texas as well as a certified Positive Recovery provider.
Before joining Positive Recovery, Agatha worked with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and Montgomery County Probation, where she saw firsthand how substance use disorder intersects with family systems, trauma, and the justice system. That perspective shapes the way her teams in Humble and Conroe approach care: clinically rigorous, but never moralizing.

PHP is the most intensive form of outpatient treatment at our Humble office. Clients attend 5 days per week for several hours per day in a structured environment. PHP includes individual counseling, group therapy led by master's-level clinicians, psychiatric care and medication management, skill-building workshops, and the Positive Recovery curriculum developed by Dr. Jason Powers.
Our IOP in Humble is designed for clients ready to return to work, school, or family while continuing intensive treatment. We offer both day and evening sessions. IOP meets 3-5 times per week and includes group therapy, weekly one-on-one counseling, family therapy, psychiatric check-ins, and the Positive Recovery curriculum that focuses on building strengths.
SOP means weekly group sessions and ongoing counseling after the intensive phase ends. For Humble clients juggling shift schedules, it is a manageable commitment that still keeps a clinician in the loop.
Aftercare keeps Humble graduates tethered with check-ins, available counseling, and alumni events. For clients on rotating shifts, the team works around schedules rather than expecting schedules to work around them.
Teletherapy makes IOP available over secure video with the identical schedule and content. For airport and oilfield workers whose weeks are never the same twice, it keeps the program steady when the roster is not.
Family programs and counseling help spouses, parents, and siblings understand addiction and their role in recovery. We schedule around shift work where we can, because Humble households rarely run nine to five.

No. Treatment records fall under 42 CFR Part 2, federal protections written specifically for substance use treatment, and they are stricter than standard HIPAA. We never reach out to an employer, including airline and contractor employers with strict fitness-for-duty policies; any FMLA documentation goes out only with your written authorization.
Yes. Our IOP runs both day and evening programs, Monday through Thursday until 9pm. Many of our Humble clients are working at the airport, in airline operations, oilfield services, healthcare, or the trades, often with shift schedules. Evening IOP three to five nights per week is the most common arrangement. PHP requires more hours and is typically not workable alongside full-time employment without leave.
Yes. Our FM 1960 office serves all of Northeast Houston, including Humble, Atascocita, Kingwood, Spring, Fall Creek, and Eagle Springs. From most of those addresses, we are a 5 to 20 minute drive.
We are at 265 FM 1960 Bypass East, Humble, TX 77338, just off US-59 / I-69 (the Eastex Freeway). From Bush Intercontinental Airport, downtown Kingwood, or Atascocita, we are 5 to 15 minutes away. Hours are Monday through Thursday 9am-9pm and Friday 9am-5pm.
