Julie is an original partner in the creation of Positive Recovery Center. Julie has accumulated twenty-seven years of professional experience in medical, clinical, operational, and financial management, and has excelled in creating a culture of success. Prior to joining Positive Recovery Centers, Julie served as President of Sobriety Matters. She also served as the Regional Vice President for the Texas Region of Elements Behavioral Health, Inc., one of the nation’s largest providers of substance abuse treatment and behavioral health services.

Julie began her career in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the early 1990s, as a Registered Nurse. She has worked for hospitals and managed care organizations, developing a clinical specialty in substance use disorders and psychiatry. Her extensive clinical background, coupled with her business acumen, has contributed to her ability to develop and implement efficacious, high quality programs across the country.

Julie’s passion is to promote excellence in addiction treatment through staff development, education, advocacy, and collaboration with other treatment providers within her community. Creating a culture in which clients and employees flourish is an integral part of every organization she has led. Julie maintains her Certified Addiction Registered Nurse credential, and she is an active member of The International Nurses Society on Addictions. Her dedication is also illustrated by her volunteerism as she serves as the Texas State Chair for the Addiction Policy Forum; she is an advocate for the Texas Peer Assistance Program for Nurses (TPAPN); she is a community partner with Facing Addiction with The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence; and she is a board member with The Recovery & Resilience Foundation. Many joys come from helping others, but Julie will tell you that her greatest joys in life, hands down, are her three children.
