Executive Director – Spicewood

Positive Recovery currently has 19 locations statewide. We are presently seeking an enthusiastic, compassionateExecutive Director to join our management team for our state licensed and Joint Commission certified treatment centers. The ideal candidate would office in our Spicewood, TX location. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Position Description: The purpose of this position is to ensure excellence within the daily operations of the Positive Recovery Centers’ Spicewood location by promoting quality of care to clients through assessment, medication management, and direct client oversight.
Essential Functions:
Strategy and Planning
- Work closely with Executive and Corporate offices to ensure effective practices and alignment to Company mission and values
- Providing leadership to engage and motivate facility staff and community in service to clients
- Oversees implementation of the organization’s current strategic plan and make necessary recommendations and revisions to strengthen clinical and administrative practices
- Implement and maintain systems that support effective operations in accordance to Company policy and procedures
Financial and Organizational Leadership
- Develop and support a cohesive and effective management team
- In collaboration with HR, develop, review and revise human resources practices
- Respond to internal job performance issues and ensure that corrective actions are executed
- Ensure that facility operates in a financially sustainable manner; Responsible for financial management, budget compliance, variance analysis and corrective action plans as needed
- Assess and optimize performance of existing earned revenue sources, and identify ways to maximize revenues
Clinical/Quality of Care
- Oversee primary care services management team to emphasize client driven services and high quality of care in substance abuse
- Strengthen substance abuse core programs; implement continuous quality improvement initiative
- Ensure practices are consistent with substance abuse industry standards
- Maintain accreditation and licensing standards up to date
Additional Responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree preferred or 5 years of full-time or full-time equivalent, administrative or supervisory experience in a licensed substance use disorders treatment facility, preferred.
- Must be able to create strong teams and work independently.
- Proficiency with general computer skills and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Recovery Advocate – Spicewood

We are presently seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate Recovery Advocate for our state licensed and Joint Commission certified treatment center in Spicewood, TX.
Position Description:
The Recovery Advocate is a member of the multidisciplinary team who is directly involved in providing quality care to our clients. This critical role is key not only to the operational flow of the facility but to making a difference in the lives of our clients. The RA is responsible for providing structure for our clients during programming, after hours, and during weekend activities.
Essential Functions:
- Documents client and group dynamic observations in medical records and communicates client issues and concerns to the nursing, clinical, and administrative staff.
- Serves as a role model to the clients, demonstrating an understanding of the fundamentals of a balanced recovery program.
- Coordinates client care and ensures that clients are in groups and aware of and in line with facility expectations.
- Coordinates admissions and orientations with the nursing staff to ensure the safety of the client and the client environment.
- Assists in emergency situations as directed.
- Understands and maintains confidentiality of patient information and records.
- Recognizes crisis situations and provides appropriate interventions based on training and experience.
- Escorts clients for meals, off-site appointments, or other related client activities.
- Facilitates or co-facilitates CD Educational groups.
- Monitors and documents client self-administration of medication.
- Attends monthly meetings and scheduled training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Texas Driver License
- Experience with a 12-step program preferred.
- Proficient using general computer skills.

- Functions as a “house supervisor” in absence of other supervisory staff.

- Provides detox assessments, history and physical reports, and develops detox treatment plans.
- Coordinates emergency medical care for medical and psychiatric emergencies.
- Ensures that documentation on all clients meets company and regulatory standards.

- Attends monthly staff meetings, required training, and serves on various organizational teams and committees.
